About this Role:
This critical role supports the firm by identifying opportunities, building relationships, and producing high-quality proposals to secure projects from a remote home office. As the Business Development Professional, we will coordinate client outreach, conduct market analysis, and create compelling proposals to enhance the firm's presence in the industry. This is a key leadership position that drives firm growth in the land surveying and infrastructure sectors through digital collaboration and strategic outreach.
Essential Responsibilities
- We will identify and pursue business opportunities in the land surveying and infrastructure sectors.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, industry stakeholders, and partners to drive growth.
- Evaluate industry trends and competitor strategies to refine our business development approaches.
- Write, edit, and coordinate the creation of professional proposals in response to client RFPs.
- Ensure all proposal submissions maintain strict accuracy, compliance, and alignment with project requirements.
- Collaborate virtually with technical teams to gather data and present the firm's capabilities effectively.
- Maintain strict adherence to quality assurance and quality control standards for all submissions.
- Support strategic planning for client engagement and representation at industry events.
- Mentor junior staff to enhance the firm's overall business development and proposal writing capabilities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, or a minimum of three (3) years of prior experience in a similar role.
- Preferred experience specifically in the Surveying or an equivalent technical field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
- Proficiency in project coordination tools and software for accurate scheduling and budgeting.
- As this is a fully remote role, we require high proficiency in digital communication and virtual collaboration tools.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is required.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Must successfully pass a comprehensive background check, including a 7-year criminal history check.
